Still, comfort and fit was generally good. I felt some
soreness in my feet after playing in the Answer 6 for extended periods, but I'm
fairly certain that this was due to the shoe's poor cushioning rather than a
comfort or fit issue. As I noted above, heel fit is much improved in the Answer
6 vs. the Answer V DMX and, even though the shoe is cut fairly low, I wasn't
worried about rolling my ankles while playing in it. The Answer 6 also did a
good job of minimizing movement within the shoe. The
only problem I had in the comfort and fit department was that the shoe was very
hot. With the lace cover zipped up the only exposed vents on the Answer 6 are
the seven perforations at the forefoot of the shoe and they are nowhere near
adequate for effective heat dissipation. Making matters worse, the vinyl-like
lining at the heel, ankle, and tongue that I described above is the type of
material that sticks to your skin as soon as you start to sweat. This is not a
shoe that you're going to want to wear without socks.
