Every great player has a burning desire to
get better. To improve his or her game, not only on a season-to-season basis,
but on a day-to-day basis. Oftentimes this means adding new moves, or adding
more muscle, or adding a measure of flexibility, but sometimes the best way to
improve is by taking away. This could mean eliminating unnecessary movement in
the release of your jumper, or taking off some weight, or just getting rid of
those bad on-court habits that you've developed over the years. In the same way,
sometimes the best way to improve a shoe is by taking away, and this seems to be
the approach that adidas has taken in the design and development of the T-MAC 2.

To
sum up, the adidas T-MAC 2 is a very good all-around shoe that does a great job
of reflecting the evolution and growth of its namesake; Tracy McGrady. Both
T-MAC the player and T-MAC the shoe are more refined, more elegant, and more
performance-oriented than they were a just a season ago. For fans of the
original T-Mac, the T-MAC 2 carries over that shoe's very good cushioning, while
improving substantively on its fit and stability, and dropping an ounce in
weight. These aren't just minor tweaks, I found that they are real improvements
that translate into real on-court performance benefits. But whether you were a
fan of the original T-Mac or not, if you're an active, all-around player, the
adidas T-MAC 2 should be on your short list of shoes to consider for the
upcoming season. It provides a high level of performance in a well-designed,
well-built package, and is priced at a surprisingly reasonable $100.
